All set for TCCC 2012

The Culinary Challenge is on!

Now on its second year, the Tuna Congress Culinary Challenge will once again be happening on September 6, 2012, 1pm at the Family Country Hotel.

The Culinary Challenge is an official activity of the National Tuna Congress. It is a cooking competition participated in by schools in Gensan and Koronadal City. The competition features an exciting on-the-spot recipe writing and cooking. Challengers choose their ingredients from the wide array of fresh produce, seasonings and spices and create an appetizer and a main course with Tuna as the featured ingredient. This year's culinary theme: New, Bold Flavors.

Cash prizes, trophies and gift packs from Minola and Silver Swan await winners. There are cash prizes as well non-winners and for Special Awards from various agencies. Prizes are P 3,000 for the 3^rd placer, P 4,,000 for the 2^nd placer and P 6,000 for the champion of Tuna Congress Culinary Challenge 2012.

Cooking stations are provided by La Germania, Gerardo's School of Culinary Arts and Solane for the LPG.

Major sponsors are SFFAII, Silver Swan, Robinsons Supermarket and The Farm at Carpenter Hill Koronadal City. Suncity Suites, Kikkoman and Kristan Educational Supply are also event donors.
